NATO
Supporting independent demographic movements in the MENA region
NATO
In 1949 a collection of twelve democratic powers came together to form an alliance of collective defence and security, in effort to protect each other from Soviet expansionism.
All members are committed to not only the military defence of each other, but to upholding and promoting democratic values, to build international trust, and prevent conflict in the long term. Over the last seventy-five years NATO has expanded greatly from the original twelve members to thirty-two, and whilst its purpose has changed since the fall of the Soviet Union, ultimately it still exists to protect the sovereignty of all member nations.
THE DAIS

SAM FULLER
CO-CHAIR | SOTONMUN
Sam is a 3rd Year BSc Physics student at the University of Southampton. He has done MUN for over two years, and his favourite committee is the UNSC.
Besides MUN and his degree Sam is a professional nerd, with a love of science fiction, fantasy, and tabletop gaming (both role-playing games and Warhammer). He also plays drums, although not brilliantly. He's noted for being the hairiest person in the UK MUN circuit, and for being a (functioning) alcoholic. He also dispenses brilliant advice in his closing ceremony speeches.
NILTON BORGES ARANDA NETO
CO-CHAIR | QMUN
Nilton is a BSc Biochemistry student at Queen Mary University of London. He's not sure how to make this biography interesting. What he can tell you is that he's looking forward to meeting everyone at BathMUN and getting to know all the people in his committee.
