BATHMUN 2024

Nov 22-24 2024 | Moving Forward, Looking Back

BATHMUN 2024

Taking place in November 2024, BATHMUN 24 was our most ambitious conference ever, running 9 committees with over 220 attendees. The conference themed itself around "Moving Forward, Looking Back" a slogan derived by USG Socials Rohan during the first secretariat meeting. It means to learn from your past when planning the future, not repeating mistakes of the past and being aware of where you've come from.

Delegates debated over 8 GA committees and a triple-cabinet crisis simulating the 1066 Battle for the English throne.

THE SECRETARIAT

RAGHAV VIVEK ANAND

SECRETARY GENERAL

Raghav is a final-year student from Singapore, studying Politics and International Relations at the University of Bath. Having attended Model UN conferences since the age of 11, Raghav terms himself a "functional addict", having previously served on BathMUN and LIMUN-HS Secretariats.

When he's not nose-deep in a study guide, Raghav enjoys learning a copious number of sports factoids, belting Michael Jackson songs and modelling for highly meme-able photos. He looks forward to this year's BathMUN Conference, and hopes you all have a wonderful time!

MIKE CHINTAWONGVANICH

UNDER-SECRETARY GENERAL OF FINANCE

Pisit Chintawongvanich, also known as Mike or Mikey, is a 2nd year student from Thailand pursuing a BSc in Management at Bath. Mike's love for MUN began in high school when he "accidentally" joined an Inter-house Model United Nations conference at Concord College. Besides participating in MUNs, Mike enjoys playing basketball, taking photos and hosting podcasts. He's super excited to meet and chat with everyone at BathMUN 2024!

IAN COTTON

UNDER-SECRETARY GENERAL OF ACADEMICS

Ian is a second-year Economics student. Having only discovered MUN at university, he was excited by the prospect of tricking fellow delegates into supporting ‘creative’ policies. He also enjoys writing fun python code that sometimes works, running at Parkrun and 'investing' in the stock market.

JOSH ROGERS

UNDER-SECRETARY GENERAL OF DELEGATE AFFAIRS

Hi! I’m Josh and I’m in my first year proper of my PhD in mechanical engineering at the University of Bath. I began my MUN career last year, but have since attended and chaired conferences across the UK and further afield. I also stand as the Training Officer for the BathMUN society. Outside of Model UN, you can find me trying to better my barista skills (emphasis on the word trying), rambling across the Somerset countryside, or applying for another quiz show to go on. Finally, I am an absolute die-hard fan of Eurovision, so if you’re a Eurofan reading this, I look forward to hearing from you!

MICHELLE CHARLES

UNDER-SECRETARY GENERAL OF CHAIRING

Michelle is a second-year psychology student at the University of Bath. She has been doing MUN for almost 10 years and can say with 100% confidence that she is in way too deep to quit now. That aside, outside of MUN she enjoys going out with her friends, trying new cafes, and watching Studio Ghibli movies. She is super excited to meet everyone at BathMUN 2024!!

In her rare free time, she studies BSc Psychology and does more MUN.

UTKRISHT GHARGA

UNDER-SECRETARY GENERAL OF LOGISTICS

Khrish is a 2nd year pharmacology student from Cambridge, via the Netherlands and Czechia. He has a wealth of passion for MUN and tabletop society, and you'll find him at either if you look hard enough during the day. He can't wait to get started and help run the logistics of BATHMUN24!

Since arriving in the UK for university in 2023, he's represented Bath at 6 different conferences and can't wait to welcome you all to the Saturday Gala as USG Socials. When he's not attempting to redraw international borders in UNSC, he's probably choreographing for DanceSoc or buying vinyl records.

KYLE WILKINSON

CRISIS DIRECTOR

Kyle is a 3rd year Sports Performance student from the North of England (Crewe). Following BathMUN 2023, his first conference and crisis committee, he has since then developed an enthusiastic curiosity and interest for MUN.
